I was definitely excited to see more of Mount, and I highly encourage you to read his trilogy if you have not.he is the ultimate alpha crime boss. Meghan March is a gifted storyteller and the book is very fast paced and I read in one sitting. This book definitely ends on a cliffhanger and we are left wondering if Magnolia will let down her guard and allow Moses back into her life. Also although there is implied passion between the couple I would definitely classify this as a slow burn which was kind of disappointing. I am hoping in the next book of this duet we learn more about him. Throughout the book Moses carries an heir of mystery around him. Moses Gaspard comes back to New Orleans with an agenda and Magnolia is it. Just as she is starting to see her plans come to fruition Moses Gaspard sweeps back into her life after a fifteen years disappearance.
